Lotte World
I’ve been wanting to go to Lotte World for a long time, and have been meaning to ever since I came to Korea. Yesterday was the day that I actually went there, and it was awesome! Today’s dinner; takeaway hot sandwich from Dunkin’ Donuts, and mocha coffee from the awesome coffee shop in my building :D After eating I’m gonna go to Sinchon and try to find some shoes (either flats, sandals or sneakers of some sort.. I need all of it haha).

I really really like the Yonsei campus. it’s beautiful! here are some random pics I took around the campus yesterday;
My building, the SK Global House, is located near the East gate of the campus. The Korean language Institute, which is where I’ll be having my classes, is conveniently located about 20 meters from the entrance of my building… which is great :D

Me and Lene went to explore the Sinchon-area yesterday. The weather was pretty hot when we went out around 1pm or so. First we walked from our dorm and towards the main gate, and found a Dunkin Donuts inside the campus! we went there to eat breakfast/lunch, I just had a bagel with some kind of cream cheese and she had a sandwich of some sort.

I took the subway alone from Sinchon today, and it went surprisingly well! I didn’t get lost or anything, so I’m quite proud of myself haha. I had my subway map and all, honestly it’s not very complicated at all once you know how it works. I was gonna meet a friend of mine, Sun Ho, at COEX around 1:50pm.

Moving day!
Yesterday was moving day for me! Quite a busy day, I have to say. After waking up, I packed the last of my things, cleaned a bit, and then just waited for my friend to come help me move all of my stuff. My friend’s place where I had been staying, is in the fourth floor of a building with no elevator, and I’m not physically strong enough to get my monstrously huge suitcase and bags +++...

ok, so this will be a very random post, as I haven’t really been doing anything particularly interesting for the past few days. Funny though, cause next week I have plenty of plans, just nothing much until then.

Sincheon again!
I had such a fun and interesting day today. I woke up around 10:30am by a text from my friend (same guy I met yesterday) asking to eat lunch together in Sincheon! I went there a bit before 1pm, and after a short while he came too. The original plan was to meet 12:45, but we were both a bit late haha. For lunch we ate dumplings, which were really yummy! and the food did a good job in making me full...
So today I went to Sincheon again! no trouble with buses and such this time, I actually almost enjoyed the busride (at least the ride to Sincheon when I drank ice coffee and just looked out of the window.. the busdriver kinda ruined the drive back though cause he was honking like crazy at other cars and motorbikes at what felt like every 10 seconds….). I still think busdrivers drive way too...
I finally have a working phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn’t realize how important having a cellphone is, until I was without one. The past 10 days I’ve been here in Korea without a working cellphone, and I felt so alone and clueless without one… I don’t know what I would’ve done if there weren’t so many public phones around in Seoul. my weekend ~
On saturday we took the bus to a place close to Dongdaemun, where we were gonna meet Hunchang’s friend. The two of them wanted to go to a vintage market there, so we went there and it was pretty huge. really a lot of interesting clothes, I didn’t buy anything though. ok, so my attempt to cook something failed, as I couldn’t even turn on the stove (there must be something different about korean stoves). Hungry as I was though, I just went to 7eleven to buy something to eat, I ended up with a sandwich and a very sweet banana milk that I think is meant for little kids.
Then I walked around in the streets here, it was raining a lot but still very hot...

So far today I’ve just been staying inside watching tv (a show called We Got Married, no subtitles of course, but it’s still pretty fun!), and just surfing the net. I still have no phone, which sucks, and probably it’ll still be a while longer until I get one, cause I need the foreigner registration card (which takes about 10 days to get after applying for it). Today I haven’t been doing much really. just watched some movies, slept a bit, ate yummy food and cleaned. I’ve already been in Korea for a day, and so far I’m loving it! The flight went very smoothly, and it was pretty much problem free. My last day in Norway is almost over..
I packed the last bit of my things today. I have one huge light pink suitcase for check-in luggage, and a bag and a laptop bag to bring onto the plane with me. The limit for the suitcase is 23kg, mine weighs about 21kg… so much for packing light haha.
Tomorrow I’m going to the airport a bit before noon, and very soon I’ll be in Seoul!
