Life of Mari

I'm Marianne; 21 years old, married and expecting a baby this summer! I lived in Korea for a few years to study korean, and that's where I met my husband. I've written a lot about my life living in Korea, but now that I'm back in Norway my blog will mostly be about this new chapter in my life!

10 days!!!

it’s noon here in Norway, and I’m relaxing with a nice hot cup of strawberry tea. It’s gotten quite cold lately, to the point where I’m actually shivering while waiting for the bus in the morning. It really hasn’t been much of a summer here in Norway this year - I for one, have been wearing thick jackets and bringing my umbrella just about everywhere I go..

It’s only about 10 days left until I go back to Korea, and I’m really excited. It’ll be so nice to see my friends in Korea again! The day I arrive there, I’ll have to walk around a bit trying to figure out where I’ll be living for the 9 months that I’ll be there. I’ve decided to stay in a Gosiwon, which is a place where you get your own room and bathroom, and then you share the kitchen with the others in the same floor as you. It won’t be too far from school, maybe a 15 minute walk? At first I was thinking of moving back into the dormitory as it is by far the most convenient option.. but I’d like to try living someplace else this time, and it’ll be good for me to live somewhere that doesn’t have such an international environment as the dormitory does. Now that I can communicate in Korean just fine, it will be much easier to find a place outside campus.

Enough rambling for now~ I’m gonna watch an episode of a korean drama, and then I’m off to work! I’m working too much these days, so I need to try relaxing a bit when I actually have the chance to! (and watching korean dramas is an excellent way of relaxing, if you ask me)~!
